About
Alice Margaret came to life in 2025, though the idea had been quietly taking shape long before then.
Growing up in a family of makers - my mum designing and sewing bags and my dad making sails for yachts - creating has always been part of everyday life. After being given a sewing machine, I started experimenting myself. Paired with a love of thrifting, this naturally led me to rework and reimagine existing pieces.
Each garment is individually sourced and reworked by hand at my flat in Darlinghurst, Sydney. My approach centres on slowing things down. By working with what already exists, I aim to reduce waste while creating clothing that feels thoughtful and one of a kind.
